श्री चण्डि नवाक्षरी मन्त्र जपः Śrī Caṇḍi Navākṣarī Mantra Japaḥ

1. Ṛṣyādi Nyāsaḥ ऋष्यादि न्यासः


अस्य श्री चण्डि नवाक्षरी महामन्त्रस्य।
मार्कन्डे य ऋद ः। जगती छन्दः। िु गाक लण्डि सर्स्क दत िे वता॥
asya śrī caṇḍi navākṣarī mahāmantrasya |
mārkanḍeya ṛṣiḥ (open the right palm and touch the top of the forehead)
jagatī chandaḥ (right palm on the mouth)
durgā lakṣmi sarsvati devatā || (right palm on the heart chakra)
ह्ाां बीजां। ह्ीां शण्डतः। ह्रां र्ीलर्म्॥
hrāṁ bījaṁ | hrīṁ śaktiḥ | hrūṁ kīlakam ||
(bījaṁ - touch right shoulder with right hand; śaktiḥ - touch left shoulder with right hand; kīlakam – touch centre of the chest. Only tip of the fingers to be used.)
श्री िु गक श्री लिी श्री सरर्स्दत प्रसाि दसद्ध्यर्थे श्री चण्डि नवाक्षरी मन्त्र जपे दवदनयोगः॥
śrī durga śrī lakṣmī śrī sarasvati prasāda siddhyarthe śrī caṇḍi navākṣarī mantra jape viniyogaḥ ||

2. Karanyāsaḥ र्रन्यासः
ह्ाां अङ् गु ष्ठाभ्याम् नमः। hrāṁ - aṅguṣṭhābhyām namaḥ | (use both the index fingers and run them on both the thumbs)
ह्ीां तजकनीभ्याां नमः। hrīṁ - tarjanībhyāṁ namaḥ | (use both the thumbs and run them on both the index fingers)
ह्रां मध्यमाभ्याां नमः। hrūṁ - madhyamābhyāṁ namaḥ | (both the thumbs on the middle fingers)
ह्ैं अनादमर्ाभ्याां नमः। hraiṁ - anāmikābhyāṁ namaḥ | (both the thumbs on the ring fingers)
ह्रां र्दनष्ठीर्ाभ्याां नमः। hrauṁ - kaniṣṭhīkābhyāṁ namaḥ | (both the thumbs on the little fingers)
ह्ः र्रतलर्रपृ ष्ठाभ्याां नमः। hraḥ - karatalakarapṛṣṭhābhyāṁ namaḥ | (open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the
left palm and repeat the same for the other palm)

3. Hrdayādi Nyāsaḥ ह््ियादि न्यासः


ह्ाां ह््ियाय नमः। hrāṁ - hrdayāya namaḥ | (open index, middle and ring fingers of the right hand and place them on the heart chakra)
ह्ीां - दशरसे र्स्ाहा। hrīṁ - śirase svāhā | (open middle and ring fingers of the right hand and touch the top of the forehead)
ह्रां - दशखायै व ट् । hraiṁ - śikhāyai vaṣaṭ | (open the right thumb and touch the back of the head. This is the point where tuft is kept)
ह्ैं - र्वचाय हां । hraiṁ - kavacāya huṁ | (cross both the hands and run the fully opened palms from shoulders to finger tips)
ह्रां - ने त्रत्रयाय वर ट् । hrauṁ - netratrayāya vauṣaṭ | (open the index, middle and ring fingers of the right hand; touch both the eyes using index and ring fingers and
touch the point between the two eyebrows (ājñā cakra) with the middle finger.
ह्ः - अस्त्राय फट् ॥ hraḥ - astrāya phaṭ ||
भर भुकवस्सु वरोदमदत दिग्बन्धः॥ bhūrbhuvassuvaromiti digbandhaḥ ||

4. Dhyānam ध्यानम्
मातमे मधुर्ैटभदि मदह प्राणापहारोद्यमे हे लादनदमक त धरम्रलोचनवधे हे चिमु िादिक दन ।
दनश्शे ीर्ृत रतबीजिनु जे दनत्ये दनशुांभापहे शुांभध्वां दसदन सां हराशु िु ररतां िु गे नमस्ते ऽण्डिर्े॥
mātarme madhukaiṭabhaghni mahiṣaprāṇāpahārodyame helānirmita dhūmralocanavadhe he caṇḍamuṇḍārdini |
niśśeṣīkṛta raktabījadanuje nitye niśuṁbhāpahe śuṁbhadhvaṁsini saṁharāśu duritaṁ durge namaste'mbike ||
(Meaning: O! Devi!! You have decimated demons like Madhu, Kaiṭabha, Mahiṣasura, Dhūmralocana, Caṇḍa, Muṇḍa, Raktabīja, Niśuṁbha, Śuṁbha. You are
eternal. O! Durga Devi, please remove all my sins at the earliest.)

5. Pañcapūjā पञ्चपर जा (Follow As Per Karanyāsa)


लां - पृ दर्थव्याण्डिर्ायै गन्धां समपक यादम।
हां - आर्ाशाण्डिर्ायै पु ष्ैः पर जयादम।
यां - वाय्वाण्डिर्ायै धरपमाघ्रापयादम।
रां - अग्न्याण्डिर्ायै िीपां िशकयादम।
वां - अमृताण्डिर्ायै अमृ तां महानै वेद्यां दनवे ियादम।
सां - सवाक ण्डिर्ायै सवोपचार पर जाम् समपक यादम॥
laṁ - pṛthivyātmikāyai gandhaṁ samarpayāmi|
haṁ - ākāśātmikāyai puṣpaiḥ pūjayāmi|
yaṁ - vāyvātmikāyai dhūpamāghrāpayāmi|
raṁ - agnyātmikāyai dīpaṁ darśayāmi |
vaṁ - amṛtātmikāyai amṛtaṁ mahānaivedyaṁ nivedayāmi |
saṁ - sarvātmikāyai sarvopacāra pūjām samarpayāmi||

6. श्री चण्डि नवाक्षरी मन्त्रः Śrī Caṇḍi Navākṣarī Mantraḥ


ॐ ऐां ह्ीां क्ीां चामुिायै दवच्चे ॥ om aiṁ hrīṁ klīṁ cāmuṇḍāyai vicce ||

7. Hrdayādi Nyāsaḥ ह््ियादि न्यासः

8. Dhyānam ध्यानम्
मातमे मधुर्ैटभदि मदह प्राणापहारोद्यमे हे लादनदमक त धरम्रलोचनवधे हे चिमु िादिक दन ।
दनश्शे ीर्ृत रतबीजिनु जे दनत्ये दनशुांभापहे शुांभध्वां दसदन सां हराशु िु ररतां िु गे नमस्ते ऽण्डिर्े॥
mātarme madhukaiṭabhaghni mahiṣaprāṇāpahārodyame helānirmita dhūmralocanavadhe he caṇḍamuṇḍārdini |
niśśeṣīkṛta raktabījadanuje nitye niśuṁbhāpahe śuṁbhadhvaṁsini saṁharāśu duritaṁ durge namaste'mbike ||

9. Pañcapūjā पञ्चपर जा (Follow As Per Karanyāsa)


लां - पृ दर्थव्याण्डिर्ायै गन्धां समपक यादम।

10. Samarpaṇam समपक नम्


guhyāti guhya goptrī tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmat-kṛtaṁ japam|
siddhirbhavatu me devi tvatprasādānmayi stirā||
गु ह्यादत हह्य गोप्त्री त्वां गृ हाणास्मत्-र्ृतां जपम्।
दसण्डिभक वतु मे िे दव त्वत्प्रसािान्मदय ण्डस्तरा॥
(Meaning: You sustain the secret of all secrets. Please accept this japa performed by me and bestow Your perpetual Grace on me.)
