Realizing What Teaching Internship is All About

My Performance Tasks 1
1. I need to undergo teaching Internship because, it empowers me to perform my rules in our
respective level, subject area and discipline as well as to prepare me for personal and professional
advancement. Giving me a chance to work under a second teacher who shall serve as my mentor,
also it allows me to interact with professionals which shall give me more insights in the field of
teaching. Most importantly, it is beneficial as a practice teacher which helps me to develop my
professional aptitude, strengthen my personal character that provides the work experience that
helps us to put our education into practice, developing leadership skills to pursue and give
competitive advantages as a future teacher, to expose us to real world experience and making
hands-on experience on how the things is going to work when we are in school. It’s like getting
an idea of what job role we would like to choose when we are in a full time job as a professional
teacher.

Performance Task 2

2. Among the 4 phases of internship, what I find most difficult during my time in my cooperating
school is phase 3. Writing learning plans was especially difficult because, I need to make sure
that my learning plans must be written accurately and appropriately, since it will affect the
various factors of student’s learning. Creating instructional materials is not just a piece of paper
on the board but it should also catch the attention of these learners and make them active with
interest to your subjected materials. Constructing assessment tools was also a challenge for
Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy was taken into account to make sure that the learnings gathered
inside the classroom were substantial. All of these in a short period of time is what makes it
difficult to achieve. Also, through time and trainings, I do believe that I will surpass this
challenge with the help of my mentor and teachers.

Profession.
Resolution No. 435, 1997 Code of Ethics for Teachers must be a good role model with strong
Professional Teachers characteristics such as perseverance, honesty,
respect, lawfulness, patience, fairness,
responsibility and unity.
RA 10627 Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 As a teacher, I must create a place which is safe
and supportive. This means that teaching students
to welcome including everyone that involves
monitoring traditional bullying hot spots and
encouraging the students to open up about the
incidents of bullying so they can be addressed by
me, and other staff members, before it’s too late.
RA 7877 Anti Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 As a teacher, I should promote women’s right
and gender equality to my students.
RA 4670 The Magna Carta for Public School A teacher should provide programs for the
Teachers promotion and improvement of the well-being and
economic status.
DepEd 40 s.2012 Child Protection Policy A teacher should promote a zero-tolerance policy
for any act of child abuse, exploitation, violence,
discrimination, bullying and other related
offenses.
