AIM: The aim of role plays or conversational practice is to simulate authentic communication
scenarios that let learners practice language skills in real-world contexts, improve fluency, build
confidence, and develop socio-linguistic competence in a safe, controlled environment. This
aim highlights the practical, interactive nature of role play and conversational practice as
language learning tools. It highlights their effectiveness in connecting academic language
instruction with practical, everyday communication.
