Designed by world-renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, the Library’s new building was selected by CNN as one of the ten most beautiful buildings opened worldwide in 2023. Its central location in the heart of Jerusalem—adjacent to the Knesset and the Israel Museum—with convenient access to public transportation and a parking lot with over 300 spaces, makes it an ideal venue for both professional and private events.
The Library offers a state-of-the-art auditorium with 480 seats, a plenary hall with 170 seats, and various smaller spaces suitable for groups of different sizes.
Enhance your event with a customized private tour, taking your guests on a fascinating journey through the National Library’s treasures of culture and knowledge. The tour includes access to the permanent exhibition, A Treasury of Words, which showcases rare and extraordinary items, including a thousand-year-old Torah scroll (the Damascus Crown or Keter), the first printed Talmud, a 9th-century Quran, and original manuscripts by S.Y. Agnon, Rabbi Kook, Naomi Shemer, David Grossman, and many others. Visitors can also explore rotating exhibitions, such as Kafka: Metamorphosis of an Author, on display until June 2025, featuring never-before-seen items from Franz Kafka’s estate.

Adjacent to Aleph Restaurant and overlooking the Library’s garden, the National Library Courtyard is the perfect venue for buffets, festive meals, and receptions. The Library’s Plenary Hall, accommodating up to 170 participants, provides a spacious and professional environment for conferences, seminars, and corporate or private events. The hall is flexible and can be divided into three stylishly designed, fully equipped seminar rooms. These spaces are also well-suited for intimate gatherings, family events, workshops, and smaller conferences, combining elegant design, maximum comfort, and a professional atmosphere to ensure a unique and engaging experience for every participant.
The National Library offers beautifully designed meeting rooms, combining elegance and professionalism. Some of these rooms overlook serene green landscapes, creating a calm and inspiring atmosphere. Suitable for executive meetings of 15 to 40 participants, these rooms provide privacy, refined design, and a distinctive setting, making them the ideal venue for business or private gatherings.
The National Library’s Wohl Synagogue is a beautiful and elegantly designed prayer space, accommodating separate or mixed seating according to preference. The synagogue can also serve as a venue for events that reflect its spiritual and cultural character, such as Brit Milah ceremonies, Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations, lectures, and more.
