Welcome to the National Library of Israel's geographic search!

The National Library's geographic search allows you to find books, photos, posters, recordings, and a variety of other items by the place they describe or the place where they were created, on an interactive map. Now, you can locate all items related to a specific place easily and from one central point.

Please note: The interface currently only includes items with a geographical tag and available for remote digital access.

How do I use the geographic search interface?

1. Use your mouse to move the map and zoom in and out.
2. Click on a specific location to see all the items related to it.
3. Clicking on the icon opens the place page on Wikidata.

Currently, records may be filtered by type of material or by relationship between the geographic location and the record.

The interface was created by Sinai Rusinek, Gil Shalit, and Rainer Simon as part of the TARBOOT competition, sponsored by Yad Hanadiv (The Rothschild Foundation) and the National Library of Israel.
