Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Tallies first homer of 2025
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base Sunday against the Mets.
Freeman has primarily served in a small-side platoon role, with Sunday marking only his second start against a righty since being activated from the injured list May 17. He delivered with the opportunity, tallying his first home run of the season in the fifth inning. Freeman also swiped his fourth bag of the campaign, and he could be a decent speed option if his playing time picks up.

Rockies' Orlando Arcia: First homer for Rockies
Arcia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Sunday against the Mets.
Arcia made his second start with the Rockies since signing with the team Monday. He delivered his home run to start the third inning, his first with Colorado. Arcia is likely to remain in a reserve role, barring injury.

Rockies' Carson Palmquist: Unravels late in loss
Palmquist (0-4) took the loss against the Mets on Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over 4.2 innings.
Palmquist opened with three scoreless frames before serving up a pair of home runs across the fourth and fifth innings. The rookie notched a career-high eight strikeouts but has now yielded at least four earned runs in three of his four major-league starts. He'll carry a bloated 8.50 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 14:10 K:BB across 18 innings into a home rematch with the Mets next weekend.

Rockies' Kyle Farmer: Idle for series finale
Farmer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Farmer had started the last three games, all at different positions (second base, designated hitter and first base), but he went 0-for-8 at the dish during that stretch. First base appears to be Farmer's clearest path to consistent playing time after the Rockies demoted Michael Toglia to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday. Keston Hiura was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move, and he'll get the nod at first base Sunday in his Rockies debut.

Rockies' Mickey Moniak: Out of Sunday's lineup
Moniak is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Moniak has a .592 OPS in his past 10 games and will hit the bench Sunday against New York righty Clay Holmes. Tyler Freeman will start in right field and bat eighth for the series finale in Queens.

Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Not in Sunday's lineup
Estrada is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Estrada started the past two games after being reinstated from the injured list Friday, and he'll take a seat Sunday after going 1-for-7 with an RBI and a run in his first two MLB games of 2025. Orlando Arcia will man the keystone while Sam Hilliard enters the lineup in center field for the Rockies.

Rockies' Hunter Goodman: On bench Sunday
Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Goodman started the previous four games and will receive Sunday off after going 3-for-16 with a walk and five strikeouts during that stretch. Jacob Stallings will work behind the plate and bat ninth in the series finale for Colorado.

Rockies' Thairo Estrada: Collects first hit of 2025
Estrada went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Saturday against the Mets.
Estrada was activated from the injured list Friday for his season debut and his RBI single in the seventh inning Saturday marked his first hit of the campaign. Estrada should be Colorado's primary second baseman and looks likely to hit fourth or fifth in the order.

Rockies' Kyle Farmer: Looks to be primary first baseman
Farmer went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Saturday against the Mets.
Farmer's performance didn't stand out, but he started at first base on the same day that Michael Toglia was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque. Farmer also occupied the position when Toglia got a breather from May 21 to May 23, signs that combine to suggest that Farmer will serve as Colorado's primary first baseman for the time being. He has only a .236/.274/.365 line across 157 plate appearances for the season.

Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Pops third homer
Tovar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored Saturday against the Mets.
Tovar got the Rockies going offensively, popping a home run in the opening inning. It was his third long ball of the season but first since May 19. In that span, Tovar has hit a solid .273 with four RBI and seven runs scored across 12 games.

Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Surrenders seven in 10th loss
Senzatela (1-10) took the loss Saturday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks over four innings in a 8-2 loss against the Mets. He struck out two.
Senzatela's nightmare season continued Saturday, with the Mets tagging him for four runs in the first inning and three more in the fourth frame. The right-hander has now suffered seven straight losses, posting an 8.82 ERA and 2.02 WHIP across 33.2 innings during that stretch. On the year, the 30-year-old owns a 7.14 ERA and 1.98 WHIP over 58 innings, and it's unclear how much longer the Rockies will keep him in the rotation.

Rockies' Aaron Schunk: DFA'd by Colorado
The Rockies designated Schunk for assignment Saturday.
The move corresponds with the Rockies selecting Keston Hiura's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque while optioning Michael Toglia to Triple-A. Schunk saw regular work with the Rockies in late April before landing on the 10-day injured list due to a groin injury. He made 11 major-league appearances for Colorado and went 6-for-28 with one double and a 27.6 percent strikeout rate over that span.

Rockies' Keston Hiura: Called up by Colorado
The Rockies selected Hiura's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
Hiura wasn't able to crack the Rockies' Opening Day roster and started the season in Triple-A, where he is slashing .243/.360/.467 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 200 plate appearances. With Michael Toglia being optioned to Triple-A, Kyle Farmer will likely take over as the Rockies' everyday first baseman while Hiura provides depth at the position.

Rockies' Michael Toglia: Optioned to Triple-A
The Rockies optioned Toglia to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
Toglia entered the season tasked with helping anchor the Rockies' lineup. However, the 26-year-old first baseman has slashed .194/.266/.349 with two steals, six home runs, 20 RBI and a league-leading 81 strikeouts in 186 plate appearances. Toglia will go to the minors to regain his form at the plate, with Keston Hiura being promoted to the majors in a corresponding move.
